- Large Lake with pebble beaches
- Running, walking and biking paths
- Floraart Flower Festival in May
- Floating pontoon Summer Stage
Located in Novi Zagreb, just south of the Sava River, Lake Bundek is a gorgeous open-air recreation center and park. Following a major renovation in 2005, it has become one of Zagreb's most popular green spaces, offering a peaceful oasis for walking, swimming, picnics, and summer festivals.
Recreation & Outdoor Activities
Bundek is divided into two parts: the Large Lake (Veliko Jezero) and the Small Lake (Malo Jezero). The Large Lake features a pebble beach and is open for swimming during hot summer months, complete with active lifeguards. The Small Lake is left as a natural habitat for fish, birds, and aquatic plants.
The park is surrounded by paved paths perfect for walking, running, cycling, and rollerblading. It also boasts large outdoor playgrounds for kids of all ages, volleyball and football areas, and covered pavilions with public grills for family barbecues.
Festivals & Summer Events
Throughout the year, Bundek hosts major cultural events. In May, the famous Floraart Flower Festival transforms the park into a stunning sea of color with hundreds of thousands of blooms. During the summer, the floating Summer Stage on the lake hosts concerts, plays, and open-air movie screenings under the stars.
Grill zones are first-come, first-served
If planning a picnic or barbecue at one of Bundek's covered grill pavilions on weekends, arrive early in the morning to secure a spot, as they fill up quickly!
